Relax, and Enjoy Theraputic Massage

Are you seeking relaxation or freedom from pain? Often, the two are inexorably linked. Whether you are involved in a demanding physical activity or just sitting at a desk all day, repetitive movements combined with emotional stress can cause muscles to "clench". Without proper stretching, connective tissue called fascia will build up around the affected muscles, imprisoning them in their painful position. My methods include Myofascial Release, Trigger Point and Deep Tissue. I may also introduce elements of Shiatsu (Acupuncture without the needles), Cranio Sacral, Reflexology, or other modalities which I think may be beneficial to you.

About Mark

Mark first studied massage at Chicago's Body/Mind Center in 1983. He was licensed as a massage professional in that city  from 1983-1987, doing massage by day and acting at night. Sadly, he let his license expire while he pursued acting and various other interests. He returned to the world of Massage & Bodywork in 2007, studying at the Institute for Massage Therapies in Richmond, Va. He passed the National Certification Exam in November 2007 (NCTMB) and is also certified by the Va. Board of Nursing.

Aside from his passion for bodywork, Mark is also a tree farmer and a nature lover. He and his wife Kathy live in a little cabin in the woods near Beaverdam, along with three dogs and four horses. Their son, Will is a junior at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Va.
